Chuck E. Cheese bound-
02.28.04 (9:30 am)   [edit]
We are getting ready to go to Chuck E. Cheese this morning. Tony went fishing(gee..imagine that) Anyway, he is on the coast, so we are heading that way, too. We'll see him at Chuck E. Cheese. I'm sure he will smell sweet! While we are there, I hope to go by Lifeway Christian Bookstore and get the Beth Moore book, Living Beyond Yourself Something is wrong with my printer so I can't print anything out for the study. Then I think we are going to the outlet malls. Depends on how long the money holds out. I love to go to Lifeway...any bookstore...I could spend hours in one. Of course it is difficult when you have 3 girlies tagging along! I also got a coupon in the mail for The Children's Place It is only for 15%, but hey! It's a discount!
Something is wrong with my email for some reason. Or at least my Outlook Express---don't know...more about that later.
Well, I have to finish getting ready! More to come later~~

Home from Chuck E. Cheese
We got home tonight about 8:30 p.m. The girls had a great time! We arrived there about 1 p.m. and did not leave until about 4:30. I love skee ball! I swiped a couple of tokens from Holleigh(bad mama!) and won her a few more tickets! After we left, I was able to go next door to the Lifeway Christian Bookstore and get my book. Tony waited in the car with Haleigh and Holleigh while Hannah and I went in. I could just get lost in there. We were in there for about 30 minutes, but I came on out because Tony usually hates to wait on me when I am in a store! He wasn't angry when I came out and I was  shocked! Hannah and I bought the others some cute little bookmarks and even got Tony one. He really doesn't like to read, but has started reading more so I have decided to encourage him for it. Then we went to the Academy's Sporting Good Store(another place I could get lost in!) He bought a book about bass fishing so that he could use his new bookmark! heeheehee I saw a ton of ladies workout clothes~~gave me a guilt trip because I need to get back to working out! Haleigh asked me why I don't ever use my treadmill anymore... I just laughed and said I will try to start back! It is a great stress reliever! Anyway...after we left there, we went to the Marble Slab Creamery. Wasn't that just the best place for me to go after telling Halegh I would start back with the treadmill! We all chose some rich ice cream and Hannah chose some fat-free frozen yogurt. I had to commend her on being a good example and making a healthy choice. I'm so proud of her. I told her next time I would have to be the good example! Then we went to Walmart and came on home. It was a family day pretty much. I spent most of my birthday money, but it was worth it. We hardly ever spend time together as a family! Well that's it, I've got all the kiddies in bed except for Haleigh who is in my lap as I type! (which is very difficult to do I might add!)

Happy Birthday...
02.27.04 (5:18 am)   [edit]
Gosh--has it been sooo long since I posted? I've just been away from the computer lately! Now I hear there are soome nasty email viruses going around. I hope I don't get one!
Yesterday was my 34th birthday. Wow! Am I really getting that old? I don't feel like I should be that age! Or that I would have 3 kids...life is flying by!
The girls gave me a "surprise party" last night. I had to work and when I got home, the lights were out. When I went inside I hear all this giggling and 3 little girls jump up and scream "happy birthday" and sang a song about looking and smelling like a monkey! I imagine I did smell like a monkey as bad as work was yesterday! They had each made me their own cards and had picked out a cake. They also placed 34 candles on the cake and commented about how it lit up a dark room. They are only 8,6, and 4, but even their innocent little comments know how to pop you in the face and say,"HEY--YOU ARE GETTING OLD!" I told them I was glad I was able to brighten up a room! They were all so sweet. They gave me some shoes, a Three Doors Down CD, and a movie called the Princess Bride Those are a gew little things I asked for. It beats rotissire and toaster oven and bread machine which is what I got last year. My dear hubby the romantic!
Oh wel...maybe later today I will have more to say! :D

Valentine's Day Parties
02.13.04 (4:28 pm)   [edit]
Yesterday, I helped with Holleigh's party and today with Haleigh's and Hannah's parties. The kids in their classrooms always give me hugs whenever I come to the school. They are all sooo sweet! Wonder how long all that will last? LOL! My girls have eaten so much candy...nobody will get to sleep tonight! Guess I better rent some good movies!(Or maybe some boring ones so that they will fall asleep!
Tony wants me to go fishing with him on Sunday after church. Mmmm....I don't know. It's going to be cold and I like to leave early if the fish aren't biting. I'm not the sportsman type! Oh, I like to fish, but I don't bait my on hook and I DON"T take the fish off the line if I catch one! So maybe on Sunday I'll go--can't make up my mind....wait and see! :?

New featured song-
02.11.04 (10:00 am)   [edit]
I added music to my site this morning. I'm sorry if it takes too long to load--it takes a long time on mine! It is the song, "Amazed" by Lonestar. I LOVE their music. I am going to leave that on my blog until next week or until I can find a music host that doesn't take so long to load(if that is possible!) If you know of any let me know!
I am still trying to work on that fast moving headline. I really want it still--not moving or at least v..e..r..y s..l..o..w! Bear with me! Email me all your positive criticism! hehehe-maybe I won't spam block you!
It's raining here, making the day kind of dreary. I need to be working on the house--doing some Flylady stuff, but I really want to sleep!
My hubby wants me to make him a website. He did not like his email going to ---@mississippimama.com! I told him to get over it! Then he begged me(yeah right--I was dreaming!) and I said if I worked on his site, he couldn't be angry over the amount of time I spent on the computer. Good tradeoff, huh. Do his stuff....no listening to him gripe!
He didn't want to tell his mom that I was suspended for 3 days, so he told her I took vacation days a while back that I had forgotten about~ Whatevah!
I'm going to go do some domestic duties right now, but I'll be back. I am going to start editing my blog entries instead of starting a whole new subject on the same day, so check back later for new developments!
=http://groups.yahoo.com/group... target=_blank [image]mississippimama_10 07921399.gif[/image] This was a snagged tag that someone sent me, so if it is yours and I'm supposed to link it-send me an email with your link and I will link you!
2nd entry of the day, posted at 5 p.m.
I just love that song, "Amazed." WOW~to be loved like that would be WONDERFUL! Tony is not an affectionate person. I don't know how we ended up together, because I crave affection! For someone to say the words in that song to me...I would just melt in their arms! Tony...who? No--I am not a cheater, would never even consider it, but I can dream can't I? Anyway...off of that subject before I get really depressed! Might catch me later~

Blogging Mommies--Blog on!
02.10.04 (10:22 am)   [edit]
WOW!The Blogging Mommies webring that I'm a member of got a mention in the Child magazine for February. 8) :See the excerpt here: Celebrities by association. Anyway...on a darker note-
My supervisor called and told me I did not have to come to work until next Tuesday. YAY! Not really, you see...it seems I was a bad employee Friday(the day I had to leave work due to having the stomach virus) and parked one spot across the line  so I get a nice little 3-day vacation without pay. Well, it is more than three days because of our schedule. I was supposed to be off yesterday and today(my normal days off) work Wednesday and Thursday, and my normal scheduled weekend is this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Then I was supposed to work Monday and Tuesday. Due to this recent development :?, I now have Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday off, plus you add in this past weekend I was off due to the virus (left Friday, off Saturday and Sunday) I will have a total of 10 days off of work! I'm excited about that!
I'll have to be good from now on though! I needed a vacation anyway. I hate my workplace---love my patients---can't stand the department head. Gotta work...gotta have a check.
Ok, I'll stop using the smilies so much. You can use too many of those things.
I saw this link on another blog. It is about the little baby with the extra head stemming from her skull! This is definitely not for little children to see! Click here for the USA Today website. I have sooo much to be thankful for. My girls all turned out fine. Haleigh was born with a little extra finger on her left hand, but we had it removed when she was 18 months old. It looked like nothing more than a floppy cyst with a fingernail attached--there were no bones, just cartilage. I really hated that! Now all she has to show for it is the scar where they removed it. Weird--could have been worse--thanks to God that it wasn't!

Don't really want to post!
02.09.04 (11:51 pm)   [edit]
I just don't feel like dealing with my computer today! This coming from a computer addict!
Everyone is well now--no more yucky stomach viruses!
I've played with my background a little, but I may change it. It is a little bright. I found the cute background at Weblog Design(see the link on left bar towards the bottom) She has lots of cute stuff to choose from. I may change it to something a little more toned down though.

Half a day at work Friday, 1145 p.m.
02.07.04 (12:49 am)   [edit]
I woke up this morning and felt awful[/u ], but I went to work anyway. I arrived at work at 5:45 a.m., then went to see the doc in the employee health clinic...I was clocked out by 10:10. So, I came home and did nada...zip! Guess Hannah and Holleigh will be next with the virus! Tony's gone this weekend...again...fishing. He left today and won't be back until Sunday. I don't know when he'll be back--I don't even ask anymore. Anyway...I won't have to go to work tomorrow.
The girls and I have watched some movie rentals tonight. We watched the new movie, "The Challenge," with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. It was a pretty cute movie, then I rented, "Freaky Friday," on the satellite. I loved that one and the soundtrack. I'll have to buy that. Now we are watching, "Lilo and Stitch." We seem to be having an all night moviefest!
Time to finish watching the movies

Sick baby at home today~
02.05.04 (8:17 pm)   [edit]
Haleigh woke up this morning saying she didn't feel well. This is an everyday ritual because she doesn't want to go to school...so I make her get up and get dressed. She doesn't even want breakfast--which is VERY unusual for her. She is asking for something to eat the moment she opens her eyes. Anyway, she ran to the bathroom to vomit about the time the bus came. She kept at it until about 11:00 a.m. I took her to the doc about 1:00 p.m. and she had not had anything to eat or drink since the night before. Her eyes already looked "sunken in" and dark and her mouth was dry. The doc decided to give her some fluids by i.v. and add some Phenergan to it. I don't know what was worse for her, the stitches or the i.v. start! She didn't kick or thrash around, but she definitely was not as calm as she was when she sliced her hand open with the knife! She still did great...my brave girl! Everything seems to happen to her! I've heard stories where people were turned in to DHS for numerous ER visits with their child! Of course, we didn't go to the ER this time, just the clinic, but still! She is feeling a little better, but I will keep her home again tomorrow to perk back up a little.
Well, need to get the girls in bed now. Have a good night~

Lazy day
02.04.04 (4:01 pm)   [edit]
I thought I would get some time to work on some laundey and other fun stuff at home  today while Holleigh was at preschool. Tony was going to get his mom to pick her up so that I would have the day to do all that was needed to be done. SCRATCH THAT IDEA! His poor mama was sick with some virus...we don't want that around here! So, I picked Miss Holleigh up from school and we dined at Garfield's in the mall. She just loves to color on the table there. I asked her if we could finally get her ears pierced and she got all excited and screamed, "YEAH!" Well...we walked down to Claire's and told the lady what we wanted to do--the lady said that it would be just a minute before she could get to us. Then my little princess says, "well...maybe not!" UGHHH! She chickens out every time! I tried really hard to talk her into it--she kept saying she was going to do it the whole time it took for us to walk down to Claire's. So we wait again another day! I guess I'll try again in a couple of more days!
We went shopping and then came home to get the other two gals off the bus. Not much progress on the laundry list. Tomorrow, I have to get my Expedition serviced. I say "Expedition" because I really don't know what to call it! I mean---it is not a car or a van or a truck! I didn't call my other vehicle a "Windstar" ---I could just say van. So what is it? To say, "truck" sounds sooo masculine! Ok, I'll hush on that subject. I really need some topics for my blog, don't I
Tony said that I could start shopping around for a new computer. Yippee! It will be for my birthday this month. I'll be 34! There's another subject.
Only six more years until 40  Becoming 30 did not bother me....40 does! Sometimes I feel like I should still be 20. Life had just flown by---have I accomplished anything I set out to do in my life? I can't even remember what dreams or goals I had when I was younger. That's sad! Oh goodness... I need to get off of this kick or I will make myself depressed.
The girls are outside jumping on the trampoline(except Holleigh---she is napping! Long car rides are kind of nice sometimes, huh! hehehe)
Guess I better get up and so something before the dear hubby gets home! He's is really being sweet today. He just (((me))) tight before he left this morning. He is not a touchy kind of guy(except when he's expecting something in return) Hmmmm...stop and think for a minute...let's just give him the benefit of the doubt and say he is just being sweet because he loves me!

Just read some horrific stories...
02.03.04 (10:49 pm)   [edit]
I was reading another blog earlier and clicked on this link
Help the Child Brides The personal stories are so tragic and heartbreaking! I am Southern Baptist and we had always done studies on different religions and cults. These stories are from people who actually lived through such horrible ordeals. It really makes me feel blessed that my parents were good christian people. Those people lived in fear. What a horrible life! Please keep these people in your prayers!
After reading all that...my rants and raves from yesterday(see my outline on yesterday) seem so unimportant!
I didn't have to go to work until 10:00 this morning. I hated it! Trying to find a parking spot is impossible at that time! I'd rather go on in at 0600! I still had to get up and get the girls off to school--Tony wouldn't do it so I could sleep late  Yes, I was mad at him. I'm over it now. I don't work tomorrow or Thursday, so after I get the girls off to school, I will just go back to bed and do absolutely nothing! Wonder how he'll like those red apples? Awww...grow up Lisa! Oh well! He will get over it!
About the Superbowl...it was pretty disgusting to me. The half time show was horrible to me. You would think they would want families to watch this game together. The officials or planning people could have picked a little more wholesome entertainment than what they chose. I'm not just talking about the Janet and Justin thing either. The songs all of the entertainers chose were not really appropriate...getting hot in here...take off all my clothes...have you naked by the end of this song? I mean...really! The Janet thing just kind of topped it all off! Enough about that!
To anyone viewing my website---it is in the process of being switched to different name servers so it may not show up correctly! I have stopped working on my site for the moment. Also, yahoo has deactivated my account name that I created the Yahoo groups Mama2Girls with which means I am unable to log in to moderate or even cancel the group(yet they still show my account active on my other groups I am a member of, only I can't access them. Yahoo is really stupid(for lack of a better word!) Anyway...I am deleting that link off of this blog--sorry!
See you in the morning...
Sleep tight...

Really mad!
02.02.04 (10:07 pm)   [edit]
I typed a pretty long post a few minutes ago and when I went to hit publish, my isp shut down! This means that everything I typed did not post! Arrggghhh! That really makes me angry!
I'm too tired to type more so I will give an outline and type again tomorrow!
1. Worked today...tired of department head
2. Go to work at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow--supervisor cutting out overtime
3. Hannah and beauty pageants-should we let her enter one or not?
4. Superbowl follies!

See you tomorrow :)

Back home from Baton Rouge!
02.01.04 (10:04 pm)   [edit]
We are finally home from Baton Rouge. I am so tired of being on the go. Hannah looked absolutely beautiful in her dress and tiara. Well, all my girls looked beautiful. We had a great time at the Ball. The girls danced all night...til midnight anyway! Holleigh was out by 10:30p.m. though so we kind of had to juggle her around between us. Everyone was so sweet to my girls and kept coming up to them to dance with them. They all felt like little princesses! They were the youngest ones there. The next to the youngest was probably 16-17 years old. It was such a long night. Today, we were just lazy until about 2:00 then we packed up an came home...to someone elses home...to watch the Superbowl. I left about 9:00p.m. to get the girls bathed and in bed for school tomorrow and for me to get ready for work. I dread going to work tomorrow. It's even worse when I have had a busy weekend and then have to go to work the next day. I hate that!!! Maybe I can talk the hubby into going offshore so we can remedy that. I told him I would go VERY part-time if he worked offshore.
Guess I need to do some stuff. Glad to be home...sure missed my computer!
Later...
